The Athletics pounded the Red Sox 20-2 in Oakland on Friday night, stretching their winning streak to seven games.

The output was the highest for Oakland since they scored 23 runs against Texas on Sept. 30, 2000.

The loss was the most lopsided for Boston since June 19, 2000 when New York handed them a 22-1 defeat.

"It wasn't any fun for anyone, that's for sure, except for the guys on the other side," Bobby Valentine said.
