Buster Posey caught Tim Lincecum in his start on Tuesday for the first time in seven starts. Lincecum had a 5.26 ERA and 2-3 record during the seven-start stint with Hector Sanchez and Eli Whiteside. Lincecum gave up just one run in seven innings in the Giants' 4-1 win over the Mets. But Posey was banged up by several balls that bounced in the dirt and one that was fouled off his right foot. "I told him he can beat me up as much as he wants, as long as we get outs," said Posey. Said Lincecum: "I know I'm a little bit wild, effectively wild at times. I'll throw balls in the dirt and he did a good job picking them. I know it can be rough catching me. I'm not a paint-on-the-edge guy. I'll get you to chase. "He was out there with an open mind because of what we've been through. It was, 'Let's reconnect and get back to it.'"
