Ryan Dempster has yet to make a decision about his baseball future.
It was reported late Monday that the right-hander had been traded to the Braves, but the veteran has the right to veto any deal.
"I want to look everything over first before I make any decisions and I have time to do that," Dempster said. "There's a week before the trading deadline. That's where I stand on it."
A number of reports have indicated that the Cubs and Braves have a deal in place that would send Dempster to Atlanta in exchange for pitcher Randall Delgado.
All the trade needs is Dempster's approval.
