Two teams hoping to make second-half runs at a postseason spot made a deal Friday, when the Braves acquired reliever Danys Baez, and infielder Willy Aybar, from the Dodgers for infielder Wilson Betemit. Baez, who struggled in the closer's role with Los Angeles before losing the job to Takashi Saito, will help an ineffective bullpen in Atlanta. Baez was 5-5 with a 4.35 ERA and nine saves for the Dodgers after posting 41 saves for the Devil Rays last season. The righthander will help set up for new closer Bob Wickman, who was acquired last week from the Indians.
