Andy Pettitte's left hand was swollen after Sunday's start against the Mets. The left-hander was hit on the hand by a comebacker in the sixth inning, his last frame of the game. X-rays taken during the game were negative -- and Pettitte was confident he'd make his next start -- but he admitted to heavy swelling on the upper part of his palm and had "a hard time feeling the ball" while recording the final two outs of that inning. "It hurt immediately, I knew right away. I was like 'oh, no,' right when it hit my hand. I was like, "I probably shouldn't have done that," Pettitte said. "Not a smart play, obviously, but it's just a reaction when you're out there and you see the ball right there."
