Wilson Ramos underwent surgery Friday in Vail, Colo., to repair the torn meniscus in his right knee. "Severe damage" in the joint prevented doctors from operating on his torn ACL before it heals further. Before the surgery, the Nationals still held a sliver of hope the catcher could return before the end of the season. However, the severity of the damage to the ACL means he will definitely not return until spring training next season.
