By trading Shea Hillenbrand, the Blue Jays were able to free up some money, money that could be used to pay the remainder of Julio Lugo's contract, should they be able to trade for him. Lugo, 30, is hitting .310 with 12 homers and 27 RBIs in 69 games after last night's win over the Balitmore Orioles. He will be a free agent at the end of the season. The Devil Rays are looking for young pitching and Shawn Marcum or reliever Brandon League are two possibilities.
