The New York Yankees have acquired C Craig Tatum off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tatum, 29, played in 31 games with Baltimore in 2011, batting .195 with three doubles and seven RBI. Drafted in the third round of the 2004 First-Year player draft by Cincinnati, Tatum has played three Major League seasons for the Reds (2009) and Orioles (2010-11). In 100 career games, he has a .223 batting average with eight doubles, one home run and 22 RBI.
