Bode Miller is trading in his skis for some baseball spikes and freshly cut grass. The Olympic skier and four-time world champion signed a one-game contract with the independent Nashua Pride on Monday. Miller, a native of Franconia, New Hampshire, will take the field for the Pride in a home game July 29 against the Brockton Rox. "I have just started my foundation over the last several months and to be able to play professional baseball and have my foundation in some small way help the Lance Armstrong Foundation in its fight against cancer, it's going to be an awesome day," Miller said.
