Ryan Braun has been adamant about the validity of his positive test for performance-enhancing drugs.
The positive result, which is believed to have occurred at the outset of the postseason, is being appealed by Braun.
A Major League official claims that there are two scenarios in which the decision would be overturned:
-- Prove there was a lab error with the testing
-- Confirm the Brewers signed off on the treatment
The treatment refers to Braun's claim that the positive test was a result of a doctor's prescription for a personal medical condition.
Baseball's drug system is designed to prevent lab errors and the aforementioned official says the Brewers didn't sign off on whatever medication Braun was ingesting.
