The fiancee of Washington GM Jim Bowden accepted a plea agreement Wednesday to settle charges of battery and resisting arrest in Miami Beach. Joy Browning must complete 25 hours of community service and attend an anger management class for the charges to be dropped. Browning refused to comment outside court, except to say that they were still a couple. They were in Miami on April 17 for the game against the Marlins. Bowden was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign. After police said he failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a breath-alcohol test, he was charged with driving under the influence. He pleaded not guilty in May.
