Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton was told to stay home on Friday and rest in preparation for Game 3 of the World Series on Saturday. Texas manager Ron Washington told his star outfielder to get as much rest as possible for the groin strain that's robbed him of his power. Hamilton was allowed to skip an optional workout day a week ago, prior to Game 6 of the ALCS against the Tigers. He has yet to hit a home run in 48 at-bats during this postseason.
