One day after general manager Omar Minaya said assigning Cliff Floyd to the disabled list wasn't likely and 11 days after the Mets left fielder sprained his left ankle, the club disabled him. The move, effective retroactively to June 7, was announced shortly before the Mets' Interleague game against the Orioles on Saturday night. The corresponding move -- reinstatement of Xavier Nady from the disabled list -- won't be executed until Sunday morning, when the veteran right-handed hitter arrives at Shea. He would be available to play Sunday, when the Orioles are to start left-handed rookie Adam Loewen.
