Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis will have offseason surgery to repair a sports hernia he's been dealing with. "It's an easier procedure and a lot of guys have had it done," he said on Tuesday night after he returned to the lineup. This is the second time Youkilis has had this type of injury. The first was during the 2006 season, so he figures he'll be able to play through the discomfort until the season is over. "The bottom line for me is going out there and playing through it," he said. "There are a lot of guys banged up here. It's September and there are a lot of guys feeling stuff."
