Joe Mauer hasn't been 100 percent at all this season, but he's playing as often as his body and the team will allow. "It's just been a rough go," Mauer said. "It's just been a battle the whole year, really. I'm just trying to finish it off and get to the offseason. It's my job to go out there and play. You have to try to go out there and try to finish it off. It hasn't been the greatest year for me personally or for us as a team. But there's no reason to throw it all in." He began spring training late because of offseason left knee surgery, leading to bilateral leg weakness. He has also missed time with neck issues and an upper respiratory illness.
