Juan Pierre recorded his 2,000th career hit on Thursday with a ground-ball single to left field in the third inning against the Indians, according to an ESPN.com report. Pierre becomes the White Sox's second member of the 2,000-hit club, reaching the milestone 15 days after Paul Konerko did it Aug. 23 in Anaheim, Calif., against the Angels.
