Mets shortstop Jose Reyes will be eligible to come off the disabled list next week.
However, that doesn't mean his strained hamstring will be healed enough for the All-Star to be activated.
He will officially be eligible to return on Aug. 23.
Asked before Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks if Reyes had resumed activity, manager Terry Collins said no.
"Not to my knowledge, he has not," Collins said. "I know that when we left, they said for the next three days, he's going to rest."
