Barry Zito has been rumored to go to so many different teams, but he hopes to re-sign with the Oakland A's, the only team he has ever pitched for. ``People think I'm trying to have a good year to put the A's in a tough position,'' Zito said, clearly irritated. ``They say, `He wants to have a great year. He wants to get paid. He wants to go to New York.' ``For whatever reason, the year after I won the Cy Young, I tried to do too much. I really tried to do too much in 2004. In 2005, I really got a grip on myself here and there, how to struggle in the beginning and the end, but in the middle four months I was locked in. Now it's time to put that together for six months. ``I really want to get something done with the A's,'' Zito said. ``I know I'm going to have to wait until the end of the year for that. It's definitely a great place to be. With a new stadium coming at some point, it's really going to be an exciting couple of years.''
