Alfonso Soriano says he never gave the Cubs his consent to trade him to the Yankees last month, contrary to a Sports Illustrated report. Soriano says no one with Chicago asked him about a possible return to New York ahead of Sunday's non-waiver trade deadline. He remains with the Cubs, but his future still appears cloudy. "It's like 50-50," Soriano said. "I want to stay here. If they put a good team [on the field] with a good chance to win, I'd like to be here. But if they want to change everything, like to young players ... it depends on them, not me."
