After attempting to rehab his injured right shoulder in Arizona, Freddy Sanchez will undergo season-ending surgery to repair his right labrum Tuesday, according to an MLB.com report. The Giants second baseman was making progress swinging the bat but didn't feel comfortable throwing. So, instead of prolonging the rehab process and potentially missing the start of Spring Training next year, Sanchez opted for surgery. By having the surgery at this point of the season, Sanchez will be ready to go on Day 1 of Spring Training in 2012, manager Bruce Bochy said.
