While outfielder Hunter Pence dominates rumors, the Astros appear much more likely to trade starting pitcher Wandy Rodriguez and/or Brett Myers this month.
Houston is shopping the pair of arms much harder than Pence, who they reportedly want a huge haul for in any deal.
However, a competing executive said, "They might have to pay half (of Rodriguez's contract) to trade him."
The left-hander has $39 million to go through 2014 since the option for '14 becomes a player option if he is traded.
In addition, American League teams seem to be shying away from him because they're skeptical he can make the switch to that league.
