Phillies right-hander Roy Oswalt is hoping to throw off a mound sometime next week. Oswalt is on the disabled list for the second time this season with inflammation in his lower back. "I've thrown twice, pretty well, on flat ground. I'm hoping maybe to get on the mound in Chicago," Oswalt said. "I know I don't have the pain I had, which is great," he said. "Once I get the strength back in my left leg, I'm good to go. The last time I came back a little too early and never really got my strength back. I tried to pitch through it. "I feel like I could throw two or three innings, [but] I've got to get back to feeling I can throw 100 pitches. I'll have to have two rehab starts to see where I am. I think it might take a few starts, but I should bounce back pretty well. "The good thing about this is, the team is still going strong. A lot of times, when this happened in Houston, the majority of the team is leaning on you. Here we've got so many guys."
