The Anaheim City Council voted 4-1 on Tuesday to appeal the court decision that allowed the Angels to continue to use Los Angeles in the franchise name. Councilman Harry Sidhu cast the only negative vote. The paperwork for the appeal is expected to be filed later this week, and the appeal process then could take a year or more. After the team changed from Anaheim Angels to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last year, the city filed suit in Orange County Superior Court charging that the move breached a lease agreement for Angels Stadium, which is owned by the city. A jury ruled in the team's favor earlier this year.
