Mets third baseman David Wright and left-hander Johan Santana are both in the midst of slow rehabilitations. Santana was on the mound in Port St. Lucie on Monday as Wright watched from the plate. It was Santana's second time on the mound since his setback in early June. He is still recovering from shoulder surgery. Wright, meanwhile, continues to move forward in his recovery from a stress fracture in his lower back. Both Mets general manager Alderson and manager Terry Collins indicated it was unlikely Wright could begin rehab games this week. "We don't want to rush him," Alderson said. "But we also would like to have a reasonable timetable. It's all about increasing the level of exercise and activity and how, in David's case, he responds to that."
