The Yankees activated starting pitcher Bartolo Colon prior to Saturday afternoon's game against the Mets. In a related move, New York sent Brian Gordon, who had been filling in for Colon, down to Triple-A. Colon is 5-3 with a 3.10 ERA and was making his first start since June 11, when he strained his left hamstring while running to cover first base. "There's a little disappointment," Gordon said. "This is the position you want to be, this is it, this is the big leagues, this is what every player plays for and I got to live it for a couple of weeks with the Yankees and it was unbelievable."
