Nationals prospect Bryce Harper has not played the last three days in Class A Hagerstown with a bone bruise by his left thumb. Harper was jammed by a pitch in mid-June and has felt intermittent pain in his hand ever since. The damage is not structural, according to general manager Mike Rizzo. "He's playable," Rizzo said. "If it was Ryan Zimmerman, he would be playing. He would be playing if he was a big leaguer. But there's no need for him to be playing uncomfortable."
