CC Sabathia became the first pitcher in the major leagues to win 10 games as the Yankees defeated the Rockies 8-3 on Saturday afternoon. Sabathia allowed just one run in eight innings against Colorado. "I wish I could say it meant something, but it don't," he said. "We're here to win championships. That's what we're trying to do." Sabathia has lost once since May 14, pitching into the seventh inning every time. "He's the same guy every day," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "He just goes out and pitches and wins ballgames. That's what he does."
