The Reds should get a trio of pitchers back soon. They currently have five on the disabled list. Starter Homer Bailey threw well on Thursday despite giving up 11 hits in less than five innings of work for Triple-A Louisville. "Good stuff, not great results," Reds pitching coach Bryan Price said. "A lot of soft hits, some well-placed balls. He didn't have his good split. But he maintained velocity through his outing, which is our concern -– that his shoulder is going to be 100 percent. That was good. He pretty consistently hit 91 to 95 and maintained." Lefty Aroldis Chapman was scheduled to pitch two innings for Double-A Carolina on Saturday. "They're coming up on the Double-A All-Star Break," Price said. "We'll re-evaluate him. I think his timetable is June 21 to come off the rehab. So we'll have to make a decision. We'd certainly like to have him – if and when he's activated – throwing the ball well." The third pitcher, Sam LeCure, was to throw three innings for Louisville on Saturday. "It's how he feels coming out of that outing," Price said. "We'd like to get up to 40, 45 pitches. He's going to be the long guy. We'd like to use him like we did prior to the forearm strain."
