Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko each hit two-run homers and the White Sox spoiled the debut of interim manager Bob Melvin, beating the A's 9-4 on Thursday night. Melvin replaced Bob Geren earlier in the day, but the change couldn’t keep the A's from its 10th straight defeat. “It’s always about winning,” Melvin said. “It would have been nice to go home tonight and get some sleep knowing that we won a game, but we’ll come back out and battle tomorrow.”
