A magnetic resonance imaging test on Ben Sheets' ailing right shoulder showed no structural damage, allowing team physician William Raasch to stick with the original diagnosis of tendinitis. Sheets, who had the exam in Milwaukee, will rejoin the club on Tuesday and resume his program of physical therapy, strengthening and long tossing.
"Dr. Raasch was very pleased," said assistant general manager Gord Ash, who is traveling with the team. "The shoulder is structurally sound."
Ash said the MRI was performed because Sheets was unhappy with the progress he was making in his long-tossing program.
