Cubs right-hander Carlos Zambrano saw the team's doctor about a sore neck following their 9-3 victory over the Mets on Thursday. It was the team's first series victory at Wrigley Field since mid-April. "Doc [Stephen] Gryzlo wanted to take a look at him before the end of the day," general manager Jim Hendry said. "The doc wasn't at the park today. It was nothing to worry about, nothing that would endanger his next start. Obviously he's throwing the ball well, swinging the bat well." Hendry said the Cubs expect Zambrano to make his next scheduled start at home Tuesday against the Astros.
