Yankees reliever Rafael Soriano has been shut down from throwing and will see renowned sports orthopedist Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday. He felt soreness in his injured right elbow while throwing Monday. Soriano signed a three-year, $35 million contract with New York this past winter. He underwent his second MRI exam on the elbow yesterday, but the Yankees are waiting to disclose the results until Soriano sees Andrews. "I'm more concerned now because I really thought that we would have him getting ready to possibly go out on a rehab assignment shortly," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "That doesn't seem to be the case now."
