Chase Utley went 0-for-5 in his first game of the season on Monday night as the Phillies beat the Reds 10-3. He missed the first 46 games of the season with a right knee injury. Utley was Philadelphia's only starter without a hit. "I don't know if it was his presence or not, but somebody did something right so we'll give him credit," manager Charlie Manuel said. The Phillies scored nine runs in the third inning after scoring a combined nine in their previous six games. "Him being around gets guys excited and gives us a new energy level," pitcher Cole Hamels said of Utley. "It's great to see him."
