Cubs pitcher Matt Garza has been scratched from his start Sunday against the Red Sox due to stiffness in his right elbow. Garza first experienced the soreness after his side session Thursday. He will see team orthopedic doctor Stephen Gryzlo on Monday. "Garza will not start tomorrow," manager Mike Quade said. "He has a little stiffness in his elbow. We are going to be real careful with this guy. We are going to skip his start." The Cubs won't know the prognosis on Garza until he gets the doctor's report, but on Saturday he was hopeful that Garza wouldn't miss more than one turn in the rotation. "It sounds like it's not something serious," Quade said. "It sounds like he could make his next start. We have the off-day [Monday] and then we have four guys to make starts. I'd literally say this is day to day for him."
