The Blue Jays had Edwin Encarnacion back in their lineup on Monday morning against the Red Sox in Boston. Encarnacion had been out for three games after being placed on the bereavement list. The 28-year-old traveled to the Dominican Republic late last week because of a death in his family. Manager John Farrell started him at designated hitter and in the No. 8 spot of the batting order. Encarnacion entered Monday's game riding a four-game hitting streak and was batting 7-for-18 over that span.
