Jake Peavy is fine with the "general soreness" he's feeling the day after pitching. After having surgery in July to reattach the latissimus dorsi muscle beneath his right shoulder, it was expected that Peavy could be out of action for a year. "I have some general soreness, not too bad," Peavy said. "Everything [sore] is in the right spots; there's nothing tender that shouldn't be. I don't think I'm any different than any of the other guys." He still has his sights on making the Opening Day roster, but has cautious optimism about his goal. "I'm not going to try to be a hero to break camp with the team," Peavy said "That's not our goal. The goal is to be a contributing factor to the success of this team for a majority of season. I would love to make every start, but if I make 28 that's not going be a concern. To break camp with the team would be exciting, but it's not life and death."
