Cincinnati Reds outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. was placed on the 15-day disabled with a strained tendon in his right knee, the team announced after Monday's 9-1 victory over the Florida Marlins. The move is retroactive to April 13. In eight games for the Reds this season, Griffey is batting .258 with two homers and seven RBI. He will be eligible to come off the DL on April 28 against the Houston Astros.
