Manager Felipe Alou hinted that Armando Benitez might not immediately reclaim his closer's role upon being activated from the disabled list, given Tim Worrell's effectiveness. ``We could ease him into it now,'' Alou said Saturday, referring to Benitez. Alou cited the co-closer plan he used in 1994 while managing the Montreal Expos, who were playoff-bound until a work stoppage prematurely ended the season. John Wetteland had 25 saves and Mel Rojas added 16 for those Expos, who finished 74-40. ``There were so many saves that one man was not able to get them all,'' Alou said. Alou praised the work of Worrell, who saved 38 games for the Giants in 2003: ``Even if he gets hit, it's not panic or devastation. He has a calming effect when he picks up the baseball.''
