Bronson Arroyo pitched seven shutout innings in the Reds' 9-2 victory and during his second straight start, he hit a home run. "The wind was cooking out in a small ballpark," said Arroyo, one of five Reds to homer. "It was the luck of the draw. We got more balls up than they did." Arroyo has hit both of his career home runs off Cubs starter Glendon Rusch. In the second game of the season in Cincinnati, Arroyo homered off the left-hander. It was his first major-league hit since 2001, when he played for the Pirates.
