Despite being only $3 million apart on the total package, All-Star third baseman Melvin Mora has ended negotiations on a contract extension with the Orioles. Mora reportedly sought a three-year, $27 million deal, and the O's offered a three-year, $24 million contract that included an option for a fourth year. Word is Mora was getting pressure from good friend Bobby Abreu to consider the Philadelphia Phillies as a free agent.
