Mike Mussina will have to pitch 2006 under lame duck status. Mussina's agent, Arn Tellem, said he spoke with GM Brian Cashman recently about the veteran righthander's situation and is optimistic Mussina will return to the Bronx in 2007. "I did talk to Cashman about (Mussina) and we're both committed to working out a deal," Tellem wrote in an E-mail, "but we're waiting until the end of the season."
