The Padres signed outfielder Wily Mo Pena to a minor-league contract on Monday, team sources said. Pena, 28, had been playing for the Bridgeport (Conn.) Bluefish of the independent Atlantic League but will join the Padres' Triple-A Portland club. He last played in the major leagues for the Washington Nationals in 2008, logging 64 games.
