Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. has admitted that he wants to land a starting pitcher prior to the July 31 non-waiver deadline. Amaro cautioned that he isn't against trading a major-league player in order to get what he waits, which has launched speculation that Jayson Werth or Shane Victorino could be dealt. "Obviously, I don't want to weaken my club," he said. "But if I have to weaken one area to strengthen another, then I might do that."
