Despite a rough start, the Royals are standing behind manager Trey Hillman. ?Trey is a tremendous leader,? general manager Dayton Moore said, ?somebody who is very consistent with who is he is day in and day out. He?s exactly what our organization needs at this point in time.? The Royals carried an 11-21 record into Tuesday?s series opener against Cleveland at Kauffman Stadium. They occupied last place in the Central Division and were already 10 games behind first-place Minnesota. ?We?ve got to play better,? Moore said. ?It?s not a question of effort or passion from our coaching staff. It?s all there. But together, we?ve got to perform and win games.?
