Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez missed Sunday's game against the White Sox with a "muscle-related" issue in his right leg.
New York general manager Brian Cashman said Rodriguez "felt a little something on the base paths" in the ninth inning of Saturday's game.
Cashman refuted a New York Post report that Rodriguez's absence was due to an aching right knee.
"It's not specifically in the knee," Cashman said. "My understanding is that it's more muscle-related."
