Life after Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder is even worse than A's fan imagined this offseason. Oakland has now lost seven in a row and 19 out of their last 23. "This whole time it seems like one little thing will get us each game,'' Oakland starter Kirk Saarloos said. "We're playing our hearts out, hustling our butts off, you'd think that would reward you. But it's taxing losing this many ballgames. ... I'd like to say we'll turn it around, but we've been saying that most of the year. It's to the point where we can't say that, we just have to win games.''
