The Oakland A?s placed designated hitter Erubiel Durazo on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with tendonitis in his left elbow. Dan Johnson was called up from Triple-A Sacramento to take his place. Durazo was batting .237 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 41 games with the A's this year. He was hitting just .200 with two RBI over his last 14 games. This is Durazo's seventh career stint on the disabled list but it is his first since joining the A's in 2003.
