The Angels are working hard to deal outfielder Gary Matthews Jr., sources told FOX Sports. "They know where we stand," Matthews' agent, Scott Leventhal, told FOX Sports. "Gary wants to play every day, and he wants to play center field." Matthews signed a five-year, $50 million free-agent contract with the Angels before the 2007 season. "He's still got an amazing amount of talent," Leventhal said. "The Angels have been notified (of Matthews' wishes) on a number of occasions. It's just a matter of whether something can be done."
