Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos says that he may considering trading pitcher Roy Halladay. Toronto wants to keep Halladay, but the pitcher's desire to win and compete for a championship make it unlikely that he'll resign with the club as a free agent after next season. "There are several players that I would be very reluctant to trade," Anthopoulos told MLB.com. "That being said, I think I have to be open-minded to anything that can make this ballclub better going forward and better for the long-term. ... Roy's made it very clear that he wants to win, and we respect that and that's why we love him. He's as competitive as there is." Halladay trade rumors dominated the month of July, but no team was willing to pay the high price for the ace.
