The White Sox will look to trade Josh Fields this offseason, with both sides agreeing the former first-round pick probably would be better off somewhere else. Fields wasn't going to speculate whether the Sox might have a change of heart. The one-time heir apparent to Joe Crede said he's done guessing about his future in the major leagues. "I used to try, and I would end up either disappointed or completely ecstatic," Fields said Wednesday. "Right now, I don't want to be on either side of that spectrum, so just staying in the middle. I'm going into the offseason not having a thought one way or the other. My wife and I are about to have our first kid, so I have enough to worry about. Hopefully, the thought of baseball won't come up for as long as I can get it out of my head."
